If you are looking at a ladies profile if they have a message board ID (name) it will say it, just click on her name and it will bring you to her forum profile, on the left you can click on send message which is a PM. If you see one of her post's on these boards again click on her name and a drop down menu will appear and one of the options is send a message. Unfortunately message board ID's are not automatically assigned to ladies which is unforutnate, maybe something that could be looked at for the future.. Happy hunting ;)
