Just back from a drive around ***location removed*** etc. I was bored so I decided to tour around and see
what was on offer. Not sure if I would but I could be tempted.Very quiet so I decided to stop in***location removed***and wait. A vanette type car pulled in ahead of me so I said I'd wait to see what got out. I bent down to turn down the radio and as I got up a red car pulled up in front of the vanette.Out jumps two gardai from an unmarked car. I'm sure you can figure out the rest. Now lads I was beginning to enjoy the street scene but no more , it's way too dangerous. As well, the number of cars touring around was ridiculous.Talk about being obvious. These girls need to go it alone in a new location or they are out of business.
Cheers

I can't think of anything worse in this world to be nicked for.
Imagine the shame when your name ends up in the paper..

i just dont understand why it isnt just legal to begin with. There is no real legit reason why prostitution is illegal.

*I think it's still illegal because basically the Gardaí are an extremely well funded and hugely over-resourced organisation. Also, in Ireland there is very little serious crime (child buggering priests, rapes, drugs, murders etc.) for them to be investigating so they really don't have anything better to be getting on with.

*warning, this post may contain traces of sarcasm.

The "street scene" as you call it is, in my opinion, a sad and desperate thing for any woman (or man) to be involved in. The risks that people working on the streets are taking are just incredible. Only the most desperate and destitute of people would do it.

I don't think the discussion has any place here on EI as street work is a different world than escort work. Any of the escorts that I have had the pleasure of meeting have all been independent, capable, progressive women, in charge of their lives and doing well for themselves. They cannot be discussed or considered in the same context as people whose circumstances oblige them to suffer the dangers of working on the street.

Again it's just my opinion but I feel that no man who has any respect for himself or other humans could support the awful practice of street work. I don't feel at all hypocritical in saying this a couple of hours after having visited an escort. The two are completely separate in my mind.

The poor punter, A friend of mine has a flat near there and he told me he was walking back to it one night and the group of girls surrounded him asking for jiggy jiggy, barely any english on them. One of them he said looked like she was out of it on drugs. The one that approached him all she could say was jiggy jiggy 100 for 30 mins in her flat. He said no and walked on and turned around for one last look and saw two other Romainan men going up to the girls afterwards. Must be their pimps. I would give them a wide berth, even if the guards werent watching them

I seen two guys in a jeep getting nicked in Dublin last night around Burlington Road. Guards must be on crackdown. Beware people.

What evidence would the cops have on you by picking you up while parked on the street in your car, surely, being caught in a hotel room or an apparment would be more damning or worse beingsecretly being filmed in the whore house like the brotel owner is supposed to have domne in Cork :(

I thought prostitution is legal in ireland

being caught in a hotel room or apartment is not ilegal
brothels are ilegal
and curb crawling is ilegal

I'm well aware of that but catching a guy with a girl in the car, does that mean he was kerb crawling, what actual evidence would the cops have unless they have something on you for requesting a service I think it would be hard to prosecute.

BTW - two escorts in a room is deemed to be a brothel, so a guy looking for a ffm 3sum could find himself in a spot of bother too.

Is it illegal to meet a male escort for sex?

I got nicked in D4 area a few years back, but they had to let me go as they couldn't prove anything to charge me with.

Was tempted myself a while back - checked it out in Cork and it was a total waste of time - too risky and the girls are way past their best - my advice is stick to escorts from a trusted site.

street prostitution should be abolished as it is both dangerous for the client and girl as they can be generally used and abused by pimps or drug bosses.

Are you seriously suggesting that escorting in appartments/hotels is free from this?

no absolutly not but in most cases street prostitution is under control from someone else,if i meet an escort that i believed not to b fully indepenant i wud make an excuse and leave.I would hope and believe that the escorts i have been to were doing this of their free will,

That might be true but there is high prostitute presence there too, on Monday night they were at least 6 girls walking around.

6 on Monday night? Fookin hell! Busy busy! Had a bad experience down burlington rd a year back with some scumbag... Too drunk and gave in to a cheeky bj... Ended up catching her with a hand in my pocket and also misplaced my passport! Lesson learnt!
