Hi,

After recent discussions, we have decided that it would be beneficial if Community Mods and Reviews Mods worked more closely together.

As of now, Sarah is in charge of reviews and Ric is helping her out, but you may also see other Community Mods helping out with reviews at times.

We've decided having Community Mods and Reviews Mods as 2 completely seperate teams isn't the best way forward, that it would be better if both teams worked together and helped each other out. Some Community Mods won't ever be helping out with reviews, as they don't feel it's something they'd be good at or don't want to get involved with it, but equally others may help out at times.

So, don't be shocked and surprised if you see a comment added to a review initialled by any Community Mod, as some will be helping out in the future, especially with straightforward issues where a standard comment needs to be added.

Thank you very much to the Community Mods who have offerred to help out. We hope with extra help on hand when things are busy with reviews it will enable Sarah to focus on the more difficult reviews issues and overall enable us to provide a better reviews system.

Which mods are helping with the reviews?
I presume if a comment is added by one of them they will have to identify themselves?

Ric has been helping out for some time. He is mainly running Escort of the Month and helping out with reviews rather than being a Community Mod now.

All the other community mods will now have the ability to help out with reviews, so in theory any community mod could help out. Some have said they don't think they really want to get involved in reviews, they would rather just stick to community modding, but most have said they are happy to help out in small ways, e.g. They don't want to make important decisions, they'd rather leave that to Sarah and Ric, but smaller standard tasks day to day tasks, yes they would be happy to help out, especially if it seems Sarah and Ric are busy and reviews tasks are building up.

A lot of the reviews tasks are simple things, like reviewer submits review and then he reports the review to say he made a mistake, he put the price as 1000 euro instead of 100 euro... It's a case of someone making a simple correction and adding a note. But, we get a lot of these things every day, and sometimes Sarah and Ric are busy. It would help them if when they got busy they could maybe get a little help, leaving them to look at more complex issues re reviews.

For example, right now, I have a community mod who says he feels he wouldn't be any good at making reviews decisions going through reviews and deleting duplicate reviews of same lady by same client, so as that rule that we brought in several months ago is applied fairly across the board. Stuff like this helps and it wouldn't get done unless we had more hands helping out.

Yes, I have asked mods to initial any comments they make.

whoever is the mod that states my review of nikki is a 1st review obviously did not notice the 17reviews already left....

a senior moment perhaps? or just a dimwit?

It would be better if this were done automatically, the way it is when they edit posts. It would be less trouble for them and there would be less chance that they forget.

Agreed and that is something we'll bring in with new reviews system.
