Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere, but I'm interested in the legal status of this particular venture, in the event of paying for sex being criminalised in Ireland.
Clearly this club is subscription only, so how is anyone attending these events not paying for sex?
And if this is permitted under the new legislation, what's to stop a similar 'members-only' event being organised involving dozens of escorts and clients?
The 'couples only' clause is threadbare -- what constitutes a couple? Two people who met yesterday could be a couple today. The age limit of 18-45 is hardly unreasonable, though some might struggle with the 'beautiful people' aspect.
It has to be assumed that the organisers of these events have done their legal homework and aren't expecting to be raided for facilitating the purchase of sex anytime soon.
Any thoughts on this?
