Defending champion Serena Williams lost in the fourth round of Wimbledon on Monday, failing to close out a see-saw third set and falling 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 to Sabine Lisicki of Germany.
The loss, another major upset at Wimbeldon, ended Williams’ career-best 34-match winning streak and her attempt to capture a sixth title at the All England Club.
Williams was up a break twice in the third set but Lisicki fought back both times and broke again to go ahead. She converted her second match point with a forehand winner.
Didn't see that coming!!!

Things are getting weirder and weirder. How many champion slayers have fallen in the next round? It's got to be looking good for Lisicki's next opponent :)
That's not Laura Robson, is it? :D
Odds on a British man and woman winning the singles titles this year? :D :D
Hopefully Djokovich and Murray both make it to the final, makes for a mouthwatering prospect.
As for the ladies, it is surely now wide open...

Laura went out earlier....
Completely open though, I had given it up as a Williams win
