most of the show was taken up with the 'gay adoption'debate so there was very little really and pothing of note though i missed the last segment of the show. The debate occurs fairly often on the show which i find interesting if superficial entertainment.Niall's had a few interesting debates on the issue via the facebook page :

human slavery has been around longer than the sex industry

the shoes on ur feet down the line in manufacturing off them to even the shop assitant who gave u ur change human trafficking may and is exsiting,

hence why the importence of seperating them is essential for anyone to understand this

regulation makes it more difficult and easier for girls to seek help yes

but makes it impossaible hardly

hotel shops farms have regulation but human trafficking is also seen

organ transplants which are heavyily regulated, well the new generation of trafficking for harvesting organs

however making it illegal and abolishing so those who never been criminals are now crinimals, as in many case i truly believe ur only criminal coz of law that makes 0 sense, this pushes it into the dark, makes it impossaible to work indepentely for most
and the level of abuse will rise

I don't think making angry phone calls is a particularly productive means of fighting against the campaign for prohibiting prostitution. If anything, such actions only reinforce the belief that most punters are angry control freak deviants from whom vulnerable women must be protected via zero tolerance ie prohibition. The most productive means of countering the TORL campaign et al is by logic and reason not angry rants.

What milkman said is true; 'angry rants' will only serve as fuel for the fire for those seeking to portray Escort Clients in a negative manner.

Believe me; there are other ways for Escort Clients to get the point across.

Exactly, it will drive elected representatives absolutely further away from reasoned argument and straight into vengeful support for a policy of criminalisation. Politicians NEVER forget or overlook someone who gives them a hard time and wait for the opportunity to get back at them.

A very bad idea as has already been said.

Far better to reply politely with facts and (if possible) links to articles which back up the pro sex work agenda.

Everybody here knows what certain organisations (one in particular) are campaigning to do (criminalize persons [men] who purchase sexual services); everyone here (and alot who have nothing to do with this industry) knows that that notion is utter nonsense on a number of levels.

Some food for thought:
If a woman purchases sexual services from a man (it does happen, to a lesser extent albeit), does she, in the opinion of these organisations, deserve to be criminalized?
The notion being put forward by certain organisations that only men purchase sexual services is not only farcical, it is also sexist and gender discrimination. Are sexism and gender discrimination not supposedly something these organisations stand against?

They've been quite in the last few weeks since the Magdalene laundries was in the news because they want to avoid the issue in its entirety.
