Why are Men Inserting Pearls in Their Penis?

For ladies, “pearling” might sound like the action of receiving pearls, and for many men the sport of seeking the beautiful pearls inside of oysters. Well, that sounds like fun and definitely not as painful as the “pearling “we are talking about right now.

The penis pearling trend refers to inserting beads inside the penis for a diversity of reasons. OK, maybe there aren’t too many reasons, but this sounds like such a painful and dangerous action that there should be thousands of motives for doing it. Anyway, as you probably guessed the main reason is the pleasure they offer to their partner, since the tiny pearls are meant to stimulate the clitoris.

But is this worth the pain and the dangerous consequences? Doctors are against this procedure since it can bring many complications, but who listens to them? Certainly not men who lack confidence and who would do anything to improve their sexual abilities, though they don’t even need to.

So, are you shocked that in some countries, like Cuba for instance, these pearls are actually considered a sign of prowess?

When in Danger or in Doubt, Don’t Insert Pearls into Your Shaft

Now, I bet you are wondering how people insert the beads into their penises. Well, some ask a professional, others take advantage of the “safety” of their own homes, and many do it in prison. They just make small incisions on the surface of the shaft of their penises put the pearls inside and stitch it up. Auch!

Though we are referring to them as pearls, you probably realized that these painful genital beads are made of anything but precious material. Well, not anything. They are silicone, surgical steel, and Teflon or titanium beads. The most valuable aspect in this case is the health people risk hoping to improve their sexual performances.

The emergency room of the University of Florida Shands Hospital hosted a 19-year –old man who tried to insert pearls inside his penis, by himself, using a razor blade. This sounds not only painful but also insane!

As you can imagine, in a few hours he started to feel pain and loose blood while urinating. In addition, his penis discolored and swelled. Oh, that must have been scary! The doctors removed a hematoma they found and cauterized the wounds. Thankfully, he recovered and his penis remained functional.

Would You Insert Pearls inside Your Penis?

I am pretty sure there are many people who believe that the world has gone insane because of the media, porn, and technology. And I am one of them. However, in this case we cannot blame any of these since the pearling procedure has been done since a long time ago.

It seems that the trend was born in Asia thanks to the Yakuza members who performed pearling during their time spent in prison. Also, the mafia in Japan used this method to mark the years spent in prison!

When I ask myself “Why, men, why?”, I am certainly not referring to the “benefits” of pearling. I know the theory: the beads stimulate the clitoris giving women more pleasure. At the same time, it makes anal sex better, too. Or else, why would prisoners (not the Japanese mafia, of course) be so fond of it?

When I wonder why somebody would do that, I mainly think about the complications that might appear after the insertion. Really, you don’t need too much education to understand that cutting yourself and inserting objects inside are not safe actions, especially when performed in an unsterile environment.

The most common consequence is an infection, but don’t be naive, there are more things that can happen. What if I told you that inserting pearls inside your penis can bring you continuous pain, erectile dysfunction, and even gangrene? What if you knew that sometimes, amputation can be the only cure? And that, even if a professional can do it better, safety is not guaranteed? Would you consider doing it?
