Believe it or not, some men cheat. This may come as a bit of a shock to you but yes, its true.
Now the question is, how can a woman stop a man cheating on her? Many theories have developed regarding this. Some people even think that a man is always going to cheat as it is in his nature, going all the way back to caveman days.
Yet reading the views of Carlene D, a 27 year old massage parlour worker from Jamaica, I was taken aback by some of her recommendations when it comes to keeping a man on the straight and narrow. Here they are, what do you think?
1) Listen to your Husbands
“Sometimes it’s simple things. The wives just need to listen,” she said. Listen to what your man says and doesn’t say anything. Check yourself to make sure you are not talking too much, or worse yet, talking to yourself.
So the idea is that you women should listen and not talk. OK!
2) Watch Porn to Learn Sex Moves
“I know some wives don’t want to watch porn and may not be into that sort of thing, but it does help because the men are going to see other stuff out there that they will want, so if they [wives] can keep up to date that is good”
So even if women don’t like porno films, they should watch it anyway. Hey, if they are not up to date with the latest sex moves they guy will go elsewhere to find someone who can shag like a porn star. Seems reasonable.
3) Look Sexy All the Time
“Some of them say when they get home their wife is wearing this long thing and stop looking sexy, because I guess they have on the ring already so they are in a comfort zone. But it’s not suppose to be like that,” she said. “Dressing sexy around the home, when he’s there, is an idea worth pursuing. We know the sweats and granny panties are good at certain times, but cleavage bearing tops and shorts that hug the hips must also come out of the closet.So women need to get out of bed and look great straight away.”

4) Do Plenty of Housework, Let Him Relax
“Sometimes the men don’t really want to go out there but some wives drive them to do it,” the sex worker said. “Sometimes even when they done [having sex] you hear them say ‘What did I just do?’. And they start to worry. Men don’t need to feel like a part of your staff with chores to be done all the time. Sometimes let him hang out and chill; feel comfortable in the live-in space without being asked to fix, lift, move or clean something.”
Hear that girls. Let him sit on his ass and get cleaning!
5) Never Forget He is a Man
Men like to feel powerful. Massage the ego. Let him feel good about himself. Calling him “Daddy” and letting him feel good about his efforts is important for him to feel the power of putting on the pants. Let your man be a man; and you just be a woman, even twice a week.”
So Call him Daddy and let him know he is the boss. Girl power!
OK, in all seriousness, do we agree with this? Is it the harsh reality, given to us from a woman who is paid to be there when a guy is cheating? Or is it total misogynism?
Do we need to remember there is a cultural context to this, with maybe Jamaican culture and expectations being different to maybe the experiences of one of the Belfast escorts? Or is that just being patronising to people of different countries?
