With the way technology is advancing, it seems that all of the things we have dreamt for the future might become a reality… and that includes the world of porn.
The internet means you can access your favourite porn anywhere, whether you are comfortable in a warm bed or you are travelling around the world, and with so many different types of porn to choose from you are almost spoilt for choice.
Amateur and point of view porn seem to be more popular now than ever… but it seems for some it is not enough. Now, you can watch porn with a virtual reality headset to make it seem as though you are actually there having sex with the porn stars.
The best part? This interesting use of technology was shown to a group of people, and their reactions were filmed to show just how strange it is. You can scroll down for the video.
Oculus Porn
To start off with, the interviewers talk to the interviewees about virtual reality and if they have used it. They then quickly move onto the topic of porn and how much they enjoy watching it, as well as how often.
The reactions are varied, with some being quite open about how often they watch and others stating that they don’t watch porn. Regardless of whether that is true or not, they are then asked if they want to see what this virtual reality porn is like.
Honestly, if someone asked me if I’d like to see what it was all about I’d probably say yes. After all, would you really want to be the person who said “no way” to trying virtual reality porn for the first time?

Then the porn starts… cue lots of squealing, screeching, and “oh my God”s.
It starts with the POV of a man who seems to get a blowjob from one woman, then two, and then has sex with them. For the most part, this seems to be enjoyed or at least interesting to those using the Oculus Rift headsets, with some even leaning closer to get a better look, or motioning their hand as though they are controlling what happens.
When the POV changes to the woman having sex with the man, the atmosphere also changes. It seems that this porn isn’t as enjoyable to those being interviewed, and some attempt to cover their eyes and even push the virtual reality porn star away to get some space.
Reactions
Some of the interviewees are clearly extremely uncomfortable with what they are seeing. They push themselves against the sofa and yell, as though that will distance themselves from the screen in front of their eyes. Some even begin to question what the porn stars are wearing, trying to take their attention from the graphic content.
Others, though, seem pretty relaxed about it and begin to describe to the interviewers what they are seeing, or saying that they can “see why people would be into this” and that it is “actually amazing”.
For some, it is just shocking what they have seen. They sit in silence, struggling to find the words, or mumble incoherently to try and explain what it is like.
The goggles come off
When the virtual reality headsets are taken off, the interviewees all seem a little stunned, as though they had genuinely forgotten where they were.
For some it was “disgusting” while others felt that it was something that some would “never take off”.
Either way, they became so engrossed in what they were watching that they had forgotten what was going on around them.
Would they use it in the future? Some said yes, and some said no. Whatever happens, it seems that this is the direction that porn is moving in. Will virtual reality porn become the future? Will it really start to replace sex, as one interviewee suggested, like in the film Demolition Man?
