Valentine’s Day is upon us, and hopefully we are all happy. Either we get to spend a wod of cash on the one we love, or we don’t have to spend a wod of cash as we are single and won’t get ripped off like those in a relationship (Yes, that does sound a bit cynical)
One thing is for certain, it certainly can be a stressful time of the year for young lovers. Many get stressed over how to impress their partner, whilst others get stressed they have no partner.
In an effort to lighten the mood, here are five fun facts you may or may not know about Valentine’s Day. Well here goes!
1) Women Find It Easy to Get a Date
If you are female and single, you are in luck. There are 119 single men in their 20s for every 100 single women of the same age. Therefore, women certainly do get their pick!
2) Men Buy The Vast Majority of Flowers
Men account for a whopping 73% of flowers sales. Couldn’t the ladies make more of an effort?? Only kidding, girls.
3) American Have a Serious Sweet Tooth
According to the National Confectioners Association, about eight billion candy hearts were made in 2009. No wonder that there is an obesity problem over there. Well, they do say ‘love makes you fat’.
4) Eat Chocolate To Forget Love
Doctors in the 1800’s actually said you should eat chocolate to forget about your lost love. These days that is still done by recently single women, however, your physician won’t be advising it any time soon!
5) Women Buy Approximately 85% of All Valentine’s Day Gifts
Oh, it looks like I need to apologise for what I said in number two. Women buy 85% of Valentine’s Day gifts. Guys, you may be buying flowers, but this figure just comes across as lazy!
So there you go. Did any of that surprise you?
As I said before, whatever you are doing today, make sure that you have a good day, whether you be opting in or opting out. And remember, if you are on your lonesome, remember we have numerous escorts right here who are just waiting to take your call. They certainly know how to make the day go with a bang.
