In Britain a sex doll brothel has opened in Gateshead, where customers can ‘try before they buy’.
A pop up sex doll brothel opened for one day in Amsterdam’s red light district, all paid for with taxpayers’ money.
A session with the dolls cost users 30 euros (£26), and was all part of a TV show where presenters tried to convince tourists to try them out.
According to spokesman Thijs Verheij, the show tries to find out if the world is ready to have sex with a doll and to compare if it feels similar to having sex with a real person.
Verheij said: “Scientists state that in 30 years it will be very normal to have sex with a robot.
“With this experiment we want to run ahead of this and investigate how people see it now.”
Will Sex Dolls Take Over From Escorts?
It does lead to a very big question. Will sex dolls and robots take over from real women when it comes to the sex industry? Well a wholesale takeover may not happen in my opinion, as sex dolls become better and eventually morph into robots, then I can certainly see them having a massive share of the market. If we get to the stage where you can’t tell the difference, you might as well go for the cheaper option I think.
However, that is conversely why any takeover is probably not going to happen. Unless we really head far into the future, we will always be able to tell the difference between humans and robots.
