I sometimes feel the police get a bad deal. Yes, forces everywhere in the world have idiots, but in the main, they do a great job. They certainly don’t need to be hauled over the coals for every little thing by social justice (shit stirring) group However, in Sussex, it seems that two officers are in major trouble after allegedly having sex on duty.
Sussex Police has served misconduct papers on Chief Inspector Rob Leet and Sergeant Sarah Porter, after they allegedly romped on the clock.
Chief Inspector Rob Leet allegedly had sex with Sgt Sarah Porter behind the back of his wife, with whom he had been married for 22 years. The couple, who have three sons, are still together apparently.
Sgt Porter moved out of the home she shared with husband Nick, 46, earlier this year, and now seem to be getting divorced.
Ongoing Investigation
Sussex Police has confirmed there is an ongoing investigation into CI Leet and Sgt Porter.
Last night a source claimed: “They met at work in April 2015 and they began a relationship that August. They met in police cars, which they would drive to lay-bys, and in police stations.”
A spokesman said: “Sussex Police Professional Standards Department is in the early stages of a gross misconduct investigation following an allegation of on duty sexual activity between two serving officers.
“Neither of the officers have been suspended.”
Innocent Until Proven Guilty
Obviously we are not sure what has gone on. They may well be innocent, and this is gossip getting out of hand. However, if they aren’t, then I would love to have seen members of the public’s face if they had rocked up and seen two policemen romping in the back of a car. It would have made a great video for our pages. Sadly not.
Either way, I have friends in the police. Even having an affair with a colleague is seriously frowned upon, to say the least. One suspects they won’t be getting a promotion any time soon, even if they haven’t been shagging on duty.
I do know that I have always had a thing for a woman in uniform. Maybe I missed my calling in life by coming to work here!
