Sex worker activity has been discriminated against, along with massive stigmas being held against Sex workers for decades on end. Sex workers have lived under this dark light of society throughout most of world history…
Stereotypes, derogatory terms, stigma and general discrimination against their humanity echo in our social environments worldwide. Sex for money in exchange is in fact a common practice worldwide.
This activity has been confused with sex trafficking and underage sex to name just two, however, it goes way deeper than the assumptions of people. Sex workers are discriminated against due to religion, politics and many other topics. If all that is done in the dark were brought to light, you’d know it’s time Sex workers weren’t enjoyed in silence.
Sex worker discrimination – What we can do about it
As the world around us progresses, we should aim to disrupt those ideologies with realism, while we encourage compassion and understanding between supporters and non-supporters. We should spread accuract and the truth about the lives of Sex Workers and the people who support and indulge in it. The rights to safety, free speech, political opinions and access to basic health and education are just as important to Sex workers as it is to everyone else. Absolutely no human should lose their human rights or lose out on the love of others because of the work they do.

A Touch on the Past of a Sex Worker
In the past, the life of a Sex Worker was more horrible than anything that you can imagine. Governments and societies all over the world look down upon them. It is hard for them to tolerate Sex Workers. But, no matter how hard they tried, sex work was there in the past, is there in the present, and will be there in the future.
However, the mode of Sex work might change altogether. But the bottom line is, Sex work and Sex Workers are going nowhere in societies all over the world. Here are some problems that Sex Workers have to face during their work life.
Sex Workers have security threats
In many countries, reports of Sex Workers getting assaulted or murdered are a common occurrence. But, the authorities don’t take quick action against the suspects and they blame the victims for the work they do. Sex Workers don’t feel safe while working.
Sex Workers don’t get any respect
Our society is prejudiced against Sex Workers. In many countries, walking on the road where Sex Workers work is like blasphemy. Thus, Sex Workers don’t expect to have the respect of society. They have prepared themselves mentally for the treatment they would get from society.

Sex Workers may experience health issues
Many Sex Workers don’t have the money to spend to test themselves for STD’s. Apart from that; there are other health problems they face due to the working conditions. That is why many Sex Workers every year leave us silently, without any protests because of the many health problems they suffer from.
Navigating stigma and discrimination as a Sex Worker will always be a difficult road to navigate. However, sticking together and fighting against these hateful ideologies, and educating people on the topic will definitely chip away at this horrible narrative we’ve all been subjected to over the years.
