The mile high club is something that we often talk about, simply because we all wish we could be a part of it. It is so tempting, especially when you find yourself making eyes at a hot young thing sitting across the aisle from you, and on a long flight with a little bit of alcohol in you, it might seem like a fantastic idea. Okay, so we hear plenty of stories in the media about couples getting caught attempting to join, but that isn’t enough to stop us from wanting it.
Of course, there are two essential things that you need in order to join the mile high club. For a start, you need to actually be on a flight in the air, otherwise it is just sex. Unless you own a private jet, this is going to be tricky. Secondly, you need a willing partner. One passenger perhaps didn’t realise this until it was too late and he was too drunk to properly try and woo someone into the toilets with him… and his actions caused a lot of trouble.
Just a normal flight, right?
A Sun Express flight left Dublin to travel to the city of Izmir in Turkey, and on it was a large group of friends. They were hoping to see the sights and have a fantastic time on holiday, but one of the passengers wanted something more from this flight – he wanted sex.
We can understand why, purely because so many people wish to join the mile high club. It is the thrill of possibly getting caught, and also of having sex 35,000 feet up in the air while you can see the beautiful sea and land beneath you. It is one of the hottest fantasies around.
However, this one passenger had filled himself up beforehand with plenty of alcohol, and some of the other passengers said that the group the Irishman was in had been spotted in the airport bar before taking off, drinking quite heavily.
If that wasn’t too big of a concern, once the flight actually set off the man became a little more insistent on the fact that he was going to be joining the mile high club on that flight, and he managed to make the entire ordeal very unpleasant for every passenger on board.
Harassment and embarrassment
As the flight went further along, the man decided that he needed to take some action if he were to get what he wanted. After all, he couldn’t simply sit there for the entire four hours and twenty minutes that the flight would take and expect someone to just sit in his lap and give him what he wanted, could he?
He decided to take matters into his own hands and, spurred on by the alcohol he’d been drinking back in the terminal, he began to strip off in the middle of the aeroplane.
Exactly why he chose to strip off and reveal himself to the other passengers we don’t know. He might have hoped that a female passenger would see what he was offering and follow him wherever he planned to go next, but it turns out he didn’t want another passenger to have sex with.
Instead, he asked one of the stewardesses if she wanted to have sex with him, and continued to ask while he was standing in the middle of the aeroplane with his trousers and his boxers around his ankles. As you can imagine, his actions weren’t exactly applauded.
Emergency landing
When something like this happens in the middle of the flight, the crew have to take action. For a start, they don’t know what the man might do next, and his behaviour was becoming very distressing to the other passengers. It seemed as though there was only one thing that they could do.
The flight was diverted to Belgrade, where they hoped to remove the man from the plane and sort the situation out. They managed to get there without further incident, although it isn’t clear if the rest of the group he was travelling with got off the plane with him or stayed on to continue their journey.
For the man though, it was the end of the line, as stripping off on the flight and waving his penis around in front of everyone clearly wasn’t going to do him any favours. However, it seems that there have been a lot of situations like this on flights, where a passenger has interrupted the flight and caused such a big disruption that they had to divert to another place, simply to get them off the flight and eliminate the risk they were to the rest of the passengers. The moral of the story here is not to drink and fly.
Better ways to join the club
There are quite a few different things that we can learn from this man’s mistake to ensure that your membership to the mile high club is just as eventful but in a much more fun way!
For a start, don’t get drunk. Drinking can damage your performance to start with, and cloud your judgement. While you may think you are being quiet and sneaky, you might actually be making more noise than a DJ in a club and announcing exactly what you are doing to the world.
The second thing? You need to be subtle. Don’t follow this man’s example of taking your dick out and waving in the hope that someone will put their lips around it and give you a good time, because it clearly won’t work out that way!
