For years we have seen the development of sex dolls. They have gone from ridiculous looking contraptions which were gag-worthy enough to be the punchline of a classic ‘Only Fools and Horses’ episode, to something that is truly becoming just like any other sex toy. Still, even I was surprised that in Dublin, a brothel is renting one of for 100 euros an hour.
Billed as the ‘most realistic sex doll in Ireland’, the silicone robot sex doll weighs eight stone and has 32E boobs. ‘Passion Dolly’ also has a metal skeleton which allows the punter to manoeuvre her into any imaginable position.

She is being leased out by the hour by two Eastern European sex workers who charge 100 for the hour or 30 for the half hour. The only rule is that it can’t be taken off the premises.
The ad on an adult website reads: “Are you wasting money paying for sex… or watching porn? Why not have the full pleasure of having sex with the most beautiful girl whenever you want and as many times as you want? Passion Dolly is an ultra-realistic sex doll for your pleasure.
“She is made of either TPE or medical silicone and has a metal skeleton as internal structure to allow you to bend and twist the doll’s torso, head, arms and legs to pose in any sexual position you please.”
The owner explained: “We have her about a month and have had dozens visitors, mostly Irish men and ranging in all ages.
“Some of them are a bit lonely, a few have social problems interacting with women, while others have a fascination with dolls.”
There are mixed opinions as to whether encouraging sex with dolls is actually a good thing or not.
Authors of a report from the Foundation for Responsible Robotics suggested last week that the robots could encourage objectification, abuse, rape and paedophilia.
Noel Sharkey, a professor of artificial intelligence and robotics at the University of Sheffield, and Dr Aimee van Wynsberghe, assistant professor in ethics and technology at a Dutch university, said governments need to introduce legislation to stop abuses of this technology.
A robot pre-programmed to resist sexual advances was effectively a rape victim, said Prof Sharkey.
“Some say it’s better to rape a robot than a person, but others think it would encourage rape,” he added.
Sharkey also wants to see the government take pre-emptive action to stop paedophile sex robots entering the U.K.
“I would say there should be an import ban on those,” he said.
Benefits of Sex Dolls
However, they did state that they could help people with erectile dysfunction and other intimacy issues as they took away the nervousness of being around another human being. The doll would give them ‘practice’ whilst they worked on the problems.
A recent US survey of 100 people found that two-thirds of males aged 20-61 would have sex with a robot, whilst only a third of women would do it.
I do wonder why you would spend money on using a sex doll when you have real women there. Yes, using a sex doll in the same way as women using a vibrator, walking past real women, what the hell?
