So why don't you smoke only at weekends as I used to do it? It was working perfectly for me for 4 years until recently.

Another good tip is to munch on some carrots instead of smoking. It keeps your hand and mouth occupied.

ahh the whiskey did work LOL slept like a baby - and felt good this morning after getting my usual pint of coffee,

I think if I can find something to keep my mind distracted, I will survive another day and I think thats the trick plus I've ran out of toffee LOL

Alexa, first day for me was hell and back again, second day was stay in hell for the day, for the first month it was burning in hell, then it got better for a couple of weeks,, then for two weeks it all came back, right back in hell again, now i get cravings about 20 times a day, but only for seconds then they go,
I am now of them 5 Months, 2 Weeks, 6 Days, 10 hours, 19 minutes and 2 seconds (172 days). I have saved over €2,500 by not smoking approx 5,200 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Weeks, 4 Days and 18 hours of my life. My Quit Date: 07/01/2012,

I keep a good track of the days and make sure i give myself something nice every month for not smoking, this way it shows me what i can have for all the monies i am n ot spending on smokes,

It is day by day, for me this is the only way for me to manage it as they are in effect drugs, as you i went cold turkey, found this to be the best way, also i got up one morning and said that was it, you have to be ready yourself, you cant plan it, well for me i cant,
Your are great for giving them up, i hope you stay of them, and best of luck, if you have on questions on how i got over certain periods / times / events (like drinking) mail me, would be happy to tell you how i got around it,

    Ray
