I love dark and swarthy skin.

it's quite easy to go from dark skinned to light. Find some photos, change your name, new profile, hey presto!
If only you had ginger hair and freckles Heather, then you would be the ideal Highland girl.

Well just look at the flip side of the coin, most all white girls try to change their natural skin colour by either sunbathing,
sunbeds or artifical tan and not a word is said to them about being perfect as they are and that they shouldnt change their
skin colour, it is generally seen as postive to do this, bit of hypocricy here i think
You mean the wans thats been tangoed Ber?,I have seen carrots that were less orange, lol.

Do a Google search on Vybz cartel skin bleaching and you'll see the results for yourself. It's a bit of a touchy subject amongst blacks. Not me though, i could not give a monkeys if someone wants to bleach their skin and if anything i feel sorry for them that they want to change their skin colour based on what the media deems is beautiful.

I'm off to finish my pedicure before my feet turn all wrinkly.
Hi Selina, I'll see your Vybz Cartel and raise you pictures of the damage sunbeds can do. There are side effects to all forms of cosmetic treatments. I'm not condoning either, it's a person choice to make an informed decision, if it was the OPs motive to shit stir then it is in bad taste especially if the stories are correct and she is white but I don't see colour as an obstacle or some sort of handicap so when people come along and try to make it out that it is or automatically think just because someone wants to change their skin colour they need reassurance that's there's nothing wrong with them pisses me off.
If a white lady came on and said she finds it impossible to get a tan would we have the same BS white is beautiful, maybe a couple saying she is beautiful but generally it would be awe, poor you, some people just can't take a tan so why is the reverse any different when it's a black lady...
Where's Anitasizzle when I need her, she'd beat ye's all with her words

I think you would find there would be varying degrees of answers for that scenario as well anon. Personally I would never advacate using sunbeds, they are bad and can cause cancer, in the same way I would never promote smoking.

We are all different shades and colour tones and I would say, everyone should enjoy the skin they are in. It's just pigment at the end of the day, but to chemically change it is dangerous and not good for your health, so for me it is something I would naturally try and discourage.

With regards to tans, it's harder, because just going outside in the sun can change the colour of your skin and we have to protect against it. Look at Stephanie, sat on her hammock, enjoying some leisure time and now she is in agony. Once the heat has settled her arms are going to be browner than they were and not the same colour as the rest of her and it was totally unintentional. However she has damaged her skin and it's dangerous. Not good at all, so no not something I would recommend.
