It seems that The White House is going to transform into a circus from now as they already have a clown there (and I'm not pointing at anyone ) ...
We will miss Obama, for sure.

When you have a megalomaniac fool running for the nomination you have to hope one of the other candidates seems a better proposition / comes out on top.
When his party opponents fall one by one ,you have to hope the other side don't put forward a witch who everyone hates

It was a perfect storm for him
This winter is gonna be 16 seasons long

Seriously folks it is not the end of the world. same as last month when bill was going through dail. You will all still be here tomorrow, next month ,next year if you want.

I thought Trumps speech was very conciliatory and diplomatic and not like his campaign at all. But the problem is THE divide and the politicos do not know anything about how it feels to be left out of society , homeless, no food, no childcare, no Medicare what it is like on streets at 3 am, because they live in a cocoon and are do not need to worry about thing like that.
So the classes are now revolting and DO NOT trust politicians any more, and why should they?? and it was same with brexit a plague on all your houses.

I have spent a lot of time with my new best friend, last few months and I trust her with my life, but we were talking in car few weeks ago about Trump and his pussy thing and all the women the Clinton campaign were bring out, now ok maybe 3-4 but when it got to 13 I said it would backfire, having dinner that night no.14 came on TV the "porn" star who he rubbed against! and she of course was in tears and my friend who btw is Latino and female and very intelligent said to me, I was right ,and only reason this girl was on was that his check bounced. Come on everyone talks about thing when with friends and alone.

A lot of blacks and Hispanics did not vote yesterday, and I watched his speech last night with some of them and they were shocked yes, but nor fearful .

There are a few threads on her today about this topic and some calling American voters dumb, that coming from us Irish you elect school teachers and gombeen me and crooks. don't forget the "minister for finance" who did not have a bank account.

Thing have a habit of working themselves out, Wall street is already on the up.

The worry now is about the damage he can do in his 4 years, as I truly cannot see him getting a second term (but then I called this for Hillary and also thought the Brits weren't stupid enough to implement a Brexit vote).

And if he now has Congress and Senate behind him, it could be truly frightening. He will step back from global responsibilities to climate change, and other global initiatives, possibly default on national debt (imagine the global economic crisis that would precipitate)... and what about all the other crazy stuff like jailing Hillary, deporting Hispanics and banning Muslims, plus his support for pro-life candidates for the Supreme Court. And then there's the silly wall.

Obamacare is far from perfect but can you imagine abolishing it? What a nightmare that would be. So, so, so many of his policies are just simply disruptive and damaging. I hope somebody can reign him in.

But, nothing we can do about it now, except hold him to task. Though I am really looking forward to the day he is no longer under audit, and we see how much he lied about his wealth...
Can't of the life of me understand why people are so shocked Trump won. Clinton was a very weak candidate to select for the contest and given her past and association with an unpopular establishment it was always going to be difficult to get her across the line. Even a guy with as much bad press and stigma attached was always going to be in with a chance. In many respects he reminds me of a guy called Ronnie Reagan and most likely will like Ronald do some good and probably more bad. Trump will adopt
a fairly low key foreign policy but it will be interesting to see how he would react if there was a 9/11 style crisis. He will become more protectionist than the last few Presidents but again his economic impact is likely to be fairly neutral. He will appoint a conservative to the Supreme Court of course and that could have consequences down the track. He will probably deport a few extra illegals but Obama sent about 2 Million Mexicans packing during his tenure anyway so no big change there. The health care debate will be hostile but that cobbled together system is not really working when looked at objectively. All in all the four years will pass and most likely Trumpy will become bored (also he is not a young man) and is very unlikely to run again unless he keeps up the interest in the job and the economy is booming. In that situation he could be around for 8 years. In a nut shell not a lot is going to change so all you panic merchants dry up your pussies and calm down.
