Plus different brands size differently. I once went into agent provocateur to buy a suspender belt and I was walked towards a draw full of them. I was looking at the XL sizes (yes I'm a big bird in their eyes) and I found there to be a full 2 inches difference between one belt and another. I asked them who made their belts, as the sizes were so different and she said that they judged by eye what size they thought the garment was and labelled it accordingly. All I can say is that they are not a very good judge!

I walked out in disgust and having seen their corsets were plastic boned as well, decided their stuff was over priced crap.

So... yes for some lack of knowledge with their own fit and different brands labelling differently and of course different materials, some with more give than others.

Stats are a waste of time. The only one that is really worth having is the waist and it seems most ladies don't own a tape measure.

However, inspite of the fact that stats may not be that useful, it's customary to have them on these sort of sites. And I would probably be annoyed if they weren't on a profile, even though I don't really bother too much with them. If anything, an additional option should be added for dress size. But I suspect that every girl is going to be a size 6 or 8!!!!!
