Now I can't have been any more than 20 to 30 minutes preparing my last contribution. It was a thread started recently by a newbie. His first post and he's out attacking Ruhama and the RCC......nothing wrong with that per se. There were quite a few contributors to the post, and some people took issue with him over some of the things he posted including Lucy, Heather and myself. It was all quite civil when I last saw the post and had developed into a good debate, yet for some reason unknown to myself and probably to others also, the possibility of continuing the debate has been denied to us for reasons as yet unknown.
Actually, that last thread was deleted in error on my part, and I didn't realise until Lucy brought it to my attention. As the person who originally posted was a previously banned user masking an IP address with a Wyoming, USA one, I banned him as a spammer, accidently deleting all his posts when selecting the 'ban as a spammer' option. As he was the original poster, removing his first post automitically deletes the whole thread. The hard deleted it, otherwise I would retrieve it, but I can't, and for that I am sorry. There was no need to delete the thread, I agree, but it wasn't intentional either.

I can agree with a certain amount of what Carlos says and, as a former moderator himself,
I tend to pay more heed to his comments.

I have been caught out a few times myself, as a slow typist, when threads have been deleted
or locked while I am in mid-reply mode.

I don't know what specific threads Carlos is referring to in the op, as I wasn't on the boards much today
but I read some of the replies by moderators on Anon's thread earlier, that were sniping, at best.
I don't think he deserved that. He may have gone about his fake-photo reporting in a very
zealous way and, admittedly, may have got a couple wrong, but he seems to have got a lot
more right than wrong. We should all be grateful, including E-I management, for the work that
Anon, MonsterMonster and others do to highlight false advertising.

I would like to see a bit more transparency regarding deleted/locked threads and I don't like
the way moderators can continue their 'arguments' in a locked thread and those that they
    are 'arguing' with cannot.

Btw, Carlos, don't be a posting snob. DOKO and the other threads in Soap Opera serve their purpose,
keeping some of our members out of mischief.

Fair enough, I agree that that can happen. In future why not just ban the OP as a previously banned user name, stick a moderator's or forum manager's comment on the thread and lock it if necessary........and then we all know what's happening and where we stand.

Actually Brother Forrest, you're quite right. Anything that cures boredom is to be welcomed and there is another live thread currently addressing that issue...........it's just that when I'm bored, I find that a good shag is the best cure.

I don't recall any sniping from mods towards Anon today, and I can honestly say that Anon and monster_monster have been thanked by me personally for the help they have given us. Again, this comment that people got things right 'most of the time'. It's rather ironic really... when a poster is singled out as colletetal damage, they are the first to complain.

When one of the staff make a mistake, people jump on us and I often recieve snidey messages every now and then, but you know what? It's okay to be wrong. A group of escorts recently threatened to post Anon's phone number a few weeks ago, and although Anon wasn't particularly bothered (as it was a punting SIM), we made sure that these escorts were dealt with. Anon and monster_monster are also aware that over the past couple of weeks, we have recieved quite a lot of glamour models going into escorting that don't want their names associated with this business, because their names are trade marked by a complany, or because they don't want the press to know that a famous glamour model is now escorting.

As for transparency, I'm not going to lie to you... people are not entitled to know everything, especially if it ultimately breaches some form of security of a poster. Threads are never deleted because we simply 'can't win' an argument, they are deleted for a reason, and the modding team always ensure that the individuals involved are informed.

Well, he posted in Spanish. The rules aren't exempt because we are debating the editing and deleting of posts.
