How does meeting an Escort at a hotel usually go like?

So I've never met an escort at a hotel before as I thought it's not too discreet. I've always met escorts who are in apartments.

However, sometimes an escort comes to my location whom I'd love to meet, but they're at a hotel so I don't go ahead with the booking.

For those who have met escorts at hotels, is it discreet? Do you have to ask the reception desk to let you up? How does it go in general?

When you arrive at the hotel, just call or text the lady to let her know you've arrived and get the room number/floor. Then head straight for the lifts and off you go. Act like you're staying there and nobody will bother you

Ah that makes sense. The reason I asked about the reception desk is because I thought that the reception won't allow me up unless they approve it first. I was in Dubai a few years ago and that's how it was in any of their hotels. The food delivery driver guy wasn't even allowed up unless the reception let him and even then they'd get the guys ID from him and he'll have to collect it on the way back out. Thought this is how it works at hotels here too.
