Default ** The best friday of the year!!! - The Toy Show**

    Happy Friday all

Whether you love it or hate it its The Toy Show night.....

For those who don't know the Toy Show what im going on about ( shame on you if you dont) Toy Show showcases the popular toys of the year, as presented by the host and demonstrated by various children on-stage, along with appearances by celebrity guests. The Toy Show has become a cultural institution in Ireland; it is often the most-watched programme of the year on Irish television.......

After the programme the toys are donated to charities across Ireland,..

What are your favourite / Non favourite part about the to show night??

Are you going to be arsed watching it??

Personally for me its about tradition and keeping thoses small traditions going and my traditon on toy show night is bake cookies and eat them during the toy show with hot milk....

Its the only night i do it and it makes it that more special regardless of my age..

Either or its something less negative going on lighter ro talk about,,....

Looking forward to seeing what it will be like with someone new at the helm.
The big kid in me really likes to see the Lego
Great to see a lighter thread started.

I know of it but as it's on RTE I'll give it a wide berth! I can understand why young kids would be interested in it bit I fail to see why the media gets into a tizzy of it

Don’t knock it until you try it, even for 15 minutes.. the programme is a good guide for beginners in buying toys , be that uncles/ grandparents or others. While it can fuel expectations parents can guide kids as to what is feasible.
It does have the touch of nostalgia, family and festive season.
Yes please, I will watch most of it ( even the bits where I think the parents of the performer should have known better and the child will not thank them 10 years from now)
