I’ve never really taken to the online craic, never bought an item of clothing anywhere other than a shop anyway, it’s all about cutting staff out of the equation, online and self service tills, pay by card fuel pumps etc. If you needed something on the same day, an emergency, Xbox controller for one of the kids for example Argos was hard to beat

Apparently the branches in the north aren’t safe either, it’s run by the same crew that own Sainsburys, I’ve heard the plan is to move the Argos brand in house, a counter in the local supermarket where you can order and collect the next day

Exactly, it was handy, handier than online anyway.
All part of the big plan to move away from human interaction and cash deals, not be able to fart soon without them knowing about it

Sad to see them close. Alot of retail businesses are struggling now. overheads have increased hugely. Contracts/leases trying to be re-negotiated by suppliers/landlords.

This is especially true for local retailers. Support them if you can because they may not be there when you need them.
