No I'm south of southside, but I drank in them all over the years. No my local is worse than all them. I'm alright there, but you wander in and act silly...different story. The auld Jobstown has a reputation, but it's lightweight too. The city itself is full of tourists ordering Guinness the poor saps. There's rough spots out of Dublin also ya know.

How do you know he concealed it? It was reported as being a utility knife, could have used it for work work or bike repaired, etc..
If as you say "we all know there are a lot of scumbags around this town", why isn't something done about it, what are the powers that be waiting for? Why so blasé?
Start with all the junkies, push them out. Put the methadone clinics in areas such as large industrial estates, one on the north side and one on the south side. If junkies hang around O'Connell Street/Westmoreland, etc. put them in buses or vans and drop back to the outskirt industrial area. Ban every kind of loitering while inebriated, booze or drugs. Clean the center up...
Yup I can't really disagree with any of that to be fair.

They don't even need to patrol.. there are enough cameras up so spot the trouble a mile off.. policing is not proactive enough. Open drug dealing going on without hindrance but if you cycle down grafton st and if a guard spots- you he will pull you up on it

What your saying makes sense and has made sense for many many years, the city centre at night for me is a no go area after 8Pm, and during the day some areas all the time,
Why has nothing been done ????
The Garda walk past people dealing drugs not far from Store Street garda station every day but do nothing , maybe there is a reason ??
