He was probably too attractive and attacking midfielder for Moyes .
I’d love to see Liverpool sign him , they are pussyfooting around with Lavia , made an inquiry about a guy called Andre ( never heard of him) .
They need to get their finger out urgently.
    I like Ward Prowse.

There seems to be alot of interest in lavia. Chelsea and arsenal were also linked with him. Although i see chelsea have signed some other midfielder from rennes.

Ugochukwa is the latest Chelsea signing, on a 7 year contract.
Chelsea appear to be willing to buy anyone.

Did he sing "I get knocked down, but I get up again "?

No, silly me. That was Chumbawumba.

And besides he probably would roll about on the ground if he's knocked down !
    Are we there yet ?

West Ham narrowly avoided relegation last season, lost their best player and have yet to sign anyone this summer.
Don't understand why they didn't push on to sign Ward-Prowse, very good player.

From all the stuff coming out of the club it appears that a large part of the problem is that they appointed a new director of football Tim Steidten. He is in his 40s has a very good record of recruiting young players at good prices and developing them. Moyes want proven premiership players, most of what he wants are in the late 20s plus and will have little resale value. He is also looking for his ‘type’ of player which is more workhorse than talented. Further problem is that there is one year left on his contract so if the plan is not to extend it do you let him stack the squad with players the next manager might think are suited to his style of play.

I think this season is largely to be written off, all about staying up with another year of industrial style football… the question will be can the stay up

Yeah I read somewhere that there was internal fighting about what kind of transfer policy they wanted to pursue.
