So after the weather delays the national leagues are reaching their conclusions.

In hurling Tipperary and Kilkenny have come through to the Division 1 final to be played in Nowlan Park. Waterford are relegated to Division 1B. There was the first 65's competition in a national competition in the quarter final between Clare and Limerick. Managers will have positive and negative aspects to work on after the league.

In football Galway seemed to be a surprise package and put it up to Dublin for a long while in the Division 1 Final. Roscommon win a shoot out for the Division 2 title. Special mention to Carlow who have been promoted to Division 3. Another story is the fall of Derry from Division 1 to Division 4.

Hurling League Final yesterday. Kilkenny's second half performance proved decisive. Tipperary fall again in the league final for the second year in a row. They faded out in the second half.

Just over a month now to the start of the new hurling championship format.

    Championship time is here

    Hurling

Dublin V Kilkenny - Dublin at home will put up a fight however Kilkenny to pull through.

Offaly V Galway - Same as other match in Leinster. One thing I will say is that Offaly or Dublin I feel will beat 1 of the other 3. That would throw the cat amongst the pidgeons.

    Football

Will Galway beat Mayo the Saw Doctors sang. Mayo can produce big performances when needed with the exception of All Ireland Finals. Last year against Derry and Cork are examples of that. They probably cannot afford to go the qualifier route this year. Galway making steady progress over the last 2 years. Good all round team. Lee keegan a massive loss to Mayo.
I have a feeling that Mayo will win.
