The football championship starts this weekend. For those of us that grew up with all ireland finals been in september its hard to get used to it starting so early and the final been in july. Is it better or worse the way it is now? Anyway, will the dubs retain their title? Will kerry be their biggest threat to them retaining it? Or maybe the biggest question of all is, will mickey harte become the first person in the history of the gaa to manage two different counties to win the all ireland?

Is it fair that both westmeath and leitrim have to play championship matches this weekend, just one week after been in their respective league finals?
