Yes although they rode their luck for long stretches of the match. Ironic that it should be a Brazilian player to score the winning goal against a club from his native country. Apart from the defunct Cup Winners Cup Liverpool have now done a clean sweep of all the trophies that it`s possible to win. Congrats to them.

Mo will need a bigger sideboard, it’s moments like this that low points come to mind , and for some reason, Gary Neville running over and celebrating in front of Liverpool supporters after Ferdinand scored a last minute winner Can’t get that out of my head now.

Its a great achievement for the 'pool, its not the biggest tournament but its prestigious none the less. Current European and World club Champions, that's a nice place to be.

Now, a tough run of games awaits when they come home. 10 points up with a game in hand, Leicester away on Stephens night is next up.

You could throw in the Super Cup that they won against Chelsea as well. Still a possible 3 more trophies up for grabs this season.
