2 carabao cup games tonight, exeter and boro is 2-2 and port vale lead mansfield 1-0. Strange how the 4 lesser teams got drawn against each other. Big chance for 2 of them to reach the qf.

Big game tomorrow night with utd and newcastle. A repeat of last seasons final. Usually managers pick 2nd string teams for this competition but i wonder will both managers go with strong teams this time. Eth is under pressure and he wont want to lose another game. Eddie will probably be thinking if they can win tomorrow then they have a great chance of at least getting back to the final again.

West ham v arsenal tonight. Declan rice goes back to his former club for the first time. I think both managers will pick 2nd string teams . I cant see arteta starting declan as surely he will have one eye on the newcastle game. Maybe he will be brought on at some stage in the 2nd half. Will he get a good reception? I think he will.

I think he should get polite applause, nothing more, nothing less, an ex player who in general tried hard for the time he was there running down his contract if not facilitated with a move. I don’t get this West Ham legend stuff tho, reality is, like with Ireland Rice looks after himself number 1 first and last. Which I agree he should, it is a short career. Moore, Hurst, Bonds, Brookings Devonshire Redknapp and others are the legends although the game and money was different then also

Ipswich v fulham. This could be a tricky game for fulham as ipswich are flying it in the championship. It might depend on if ipswich play their best team. Will chelsea get a home win tonight? They havn't got many of them all season. They play blackburn.

Arsenal make 6 changes but still name a reasonably strong team. Ramsdale starts as does nketiah. As expected declan rice is on the bench as is most of the heavies. West ham make 5 changes but also have a strong enough team named. I think this one might go to penalties. Maybe 2-2 after 90 mins.
