Well, as there is no one to catch me I think I'm grand

If you play with fire expect to get burned! In my case I just like meeting gorgeous girls and having a good time together

My partner did catch me once looking at a ladies profile, she wouldn't know the site and I had the page scrolled down so all you could see were her images and the profile text etc, she'd not be able to read the words from the distance she was from the screen so she just thought I was looking at porn, she just gave me the rolleyes, I turned it off and she continued with the conversation she came into the room to talk to me about

Yes. Most phones can be set to lock after a certain time. If you forget to lock it, it locks itself. Wouldn't use any phone, punting or not, that did not have this.
I keep all my phones locked, then anyone who finds a phone belonging to me expects it to be locked. I tell people it is in case I lose my phone. Which is true.

Yeah, yeah yeah... I hear ye...

Do ye have kids... "Daddy can I use your phone?.." No matter how many times I change my passcode the kids always seem to suss it..

Actually, out of all the examples of guys getting caught I know of, as I think of it, 50% was "Mummy, whats this on Daddy's phone..." Yiiiiikes...

Passcode lock on my screen, infallible. I'm wondering if it's actually safer than a second phone. Surely a second phone is more likely to draw suspicion and likewise if a SIM is found

Jaysus, don't ye guys get upgrades. Keep the old phone in your car and if your partners finds it say you keep it just in case the new one fails or gets lost... simples.
