    The Wicker Man.

Britt Ekland, as Willow, is one of the very few representations of a 'temple' whore in film.

I actually really enjoyed the musical when I went to see it, and the film... bit of a guilty pleasure for me, really. I think the "Watchdog Report" song pretty much explains the stigma people have about the sex industry

The Girlfriend Experience. Directed by Stephen Soderbergh (Ocean's 11 Trilogy and Sex, Lies and videotape), Starring Sasha Grey (in her first non-porn role).

Good movie, worth a look if you haven't seen it.

The story, set in and around New York,, follows the wild and sexually charged adventures of Dr. Bill Harford (played by Tom Cruise) , who, shocked when his wife, Alice, (portrayed by his then real wife Nicole Kidman) reveals that she had or perhaps considered (I cannot remember which now) embarking on an affair, gets caught up in an all night adventure during which he managed to gain access to scrumptious and opulent masked orgy of a secret society.

An elegant and gorgeous prostitute sacrifices herself to save Dr Bill Hartford.

The film often appears in quizzes as it holds the Guinness World Record for the longest constant film shoot at 400 days.

For me personally it is memorable for the music played at the opening and occasionally thematically throughout, which was Shostakovich's waltz Number 2 from the Suite for Variety Stage Orchestra. It has turned me on every time I have heard it since. I was at il Ballo del Doge ’s Ball) in Venice some years ago during the Carnival of Venice held in the Palazzo Pisani Moretta, overlooking the Grand Canal in Venice . The Orchestra played that waltz and, coupled with the vino, the girl I was with, the general décor and the magnificently and alluringly costumed women, it was probably the closest I have ever come to heaven on this earth!!!!!!!!!

And perhaps you could post a link to Shostakovich's waltz Number 2 here for those who have never heard it (cannot post link on my iPhone.)
oh yes, I loved that movie. great great film and a haunting two note tune. its sounds like someone messing with a piano vut for the amount of notes ratio to how good something is, its one of the best pieces of music I ever heard

    Sin City

The escorts in the film were strong and self reliant. They ran their own town and had their all female security squad! They kicked ass!!
