Had to get my car MOT recently
Nightmare to get a booking and my tax was running out
I had one week between MOT before tax was due
To top it all off I have a faulty engine light which would be an automatic fail

The garage adviced me there was nothing wrong with the car apart from a faulty sensor for the engine light and that they would turn it off so I could get through the MOT

Sounded good to me!!

So I processed to have the car MOT washed and on the following morning traveled to the test centre

10 min away from the test centre the engine light came back on!!

So I thought
"that's me failed and the love bus off the road" ��

Waited at the MOT centre for what seemed like ages for the guy to bring the car back around and give me the bad news ��

Eventually he drove around opened the door and said "Pass" ��

"I should have failed you for that light but at least you had the decency to get the car washed unlike most of the scumbags we've had through here this morning"

I was both pleasantly shocked yet overjoyed

THE MORAL OF THE STORY:

Everyone you meet in life no matter who
will have a different attitude towards you depending on how you present yourself!! clean respectful

Especially if they are going anywhere near your Undercarriage!!!

Assholes down here as well, mine failed once because it wasn’t the colour of the day 🙄.
I just find it’s easier to avoid them altogether, its less hassle to just get a new one before it’s due to be tested

I've heard of guys failing for minor issues

I was pleasantly surprised
It's not like he hadn't noticed as he pointed it out but he also made a point of mentioning that I had had the car washed underneath

I'll tell you it made my day!!
I'd have been off the road otherwise

It goes to show a good clean and our other flaws can sometimes be overlooked
