My eyes are sobbing for them. Would they be trolled if they were doing a good job?

    Now confirmed.

Strange indeed. A man who reportedly wanted to be a politician all his life. Something we do not know yet going on?

"My reasons for stepping down are both personal and political ... I believe the re-election of this three party Government will be the right thing for the future of our country."

"After careful consideration, and some soul searching, I believe a new Taoiseach will be better placed than me to achieve that.

He added that "after seven years in office, I don't feel I'm the best person for that job anymore".

    Very strange and unexpected.

Yes they would. The abuse is vile, no matter how good or how bad they are. All of them are targets now, from Leo to the Shinners to Paul Murphy. I dont think that's acceptable, even the TDs I would never support don't deserve that kind of treatment.

Is Leos generation too soft- they dont make em like they used to.

Enda Kenny stood defiant to the end and didnt bow to the vultures,

I think Leo ultimately does'nt care what people think- he's happy to have his money made and set for life,

Im not inclined to criticise him overly for that but maybe he could have shown a bit more backbone.
A dangerous weakness of mine- "an attraction for fast women and slow horses"

Enda was a tough Mayo man and Leo a big soft Indian man, have been to India a few times and theyre great bunch of lads who give the most amazing massages on the planet but theyre bit soft, bit jumpy.
Not a good legacy for him but hey, he get some mega pensions and perks courtesy of yous the Irish people and get a state funeral too so its dont feel too sorry for Leo

Simon Coveney has stepped down now. Did he jump before he was pushed?

He gave a very emotional speech and said it was for both personal and political reasons.
