I think one hour is optimum. Right two hours i can do only with minimum. Longer than two hours is probably great if you go out for a dinner or for some other fun. A fair few I would say. I always insist on having a shower, even if I have already had a couple that day. If the lady can see/know that I'm squeaky clean then it takes one hurdle out of the way straight off.

The last time I had an appointment for 30 minutes was on a bank holiday weekend last spring. I initially made the appointment because my gas boiler was broken and my gym closed early that day and I needed somewhere to take a shower.
