Heaven and Hell
Do they exist? Is there an afterlife? Is life all that there is?
The concept of an afterlife seems silly to me. And why is it only ever humans that we consider when talking about heaven and hell? We are after all, simply another species of primate. What about gorillas, chimps, etc? What about other mammals? What about other vertebrates? What about other animals? What about other forms of life? Why does the list begin and end with Homo sapiens?
God... Satan... You know, I think Lucifer gets a bad rap. All these heavy religious types are always blaming things on the Devil. "Oh the devil made me do it". The Devil didn't make you do squat. Whatever you did was your own choice. Stop acting like a fucking little kid and take some goddamn accountability for your own actions you useless little cunt.
I'm not religious. I'm not atheist. I'm not anything. I simply, am. There are no labels to define what I believe. I don't need labels. I don't understand humanity's obsession with labels. "Oh you're a black man", "oh you're a white man". No. One's a man with darker skin due to a greater concentration of melanin due to their ancestors evolution in different parts of the world, while the other has less melanin due to their ancestors evolution in other parts of the world, and thus lighter skin. Same goes for ethnicity, and all that jazz. We're all human, we are one people, one species, one race. Get over it.
White? Black? I've never seen a black man, I've never seen a white man. I see plenty of people with vastly differing shades of brown. Some very dark shades of brown, others very light shades of brown. That's it. We're all human. What in the actual fuck is the point of all these stupid labels that just cause segregation? That's all labels do, they have no other purpose. Wake up from the fucking dark ages, jesus. Plenty of people have suffered throughout history for this, and still do to this day and probably will continue to every day until we all die. Isn't it enough now? All because of variations in our skin colour? And we dare to call ourselves intelligent.
120 odd billion people have come and gone, 8 billion of which are alive right now. Are they all in heaven or hell? Must be awfully crowded there. What's the divide? 50:50? 70:30? 90:10? 99:1? If they do exist, and there is an afterlife, I secured my first class one way ticket to hell a long time ago. And I endeavour to even try and get an upgraded ticket from that, for reasons unknown even to me.
Wouldn't it get awkward though? Say, your first husband/wife died and you got remarried. Then your second spouse died. Maybe you get married a third time. But you die eventually. Then what? You spend eternity with spouse #1? #2? #3? Like, how would you ever decide that? When we die and end up in the clouds or in fiery pits, what state are we in? Are we there as we were when we died? How does that work if you were extremely sick when you died? Are you going to spend eternity bed ridden too? What about when babies die? Do they spend eternity as babies?
No. While I do not blame people for believing in an after life, it just doesn't make much sense to me. Then again maybe I'm wrong. Either way, whether I stay dead forever, or whether I spend eternity like a chicken in an oven, I'll get what I deserve. And still, I'll continue to try get an upgrade from that first class one way ticket. Any chance I had of migrating to the silver city was forfeit long ago.
