I'm a member with a bookstore in Dublin. Great selection, but more expensive. I sort of like picking a book up myself off a shelf, but Book Depository will be missed.
Nothing beats going into an actual bookstore and picking up a book, having a read of the back of the book but Book Depository had a great selection and was pretty cheap.

I'm a Stephen King fanatic bud... going back years.

    1. The Stand
    2. IT
    3. The Dead Zone
    4. The Shining
    5. Salem's Lot

Actually very difficult to pick...11/22/63 was brilliant also. Obviously The Dark Tower series.

Never read Rage, but it's banned. Read everything else he ever released.

That book you mentioned was pretty good, but not the same.

hard to pick the best 5 out of Kings books , read them all , love them all but obviously some are better

IT its the best book ever written in my opinion (3 times I read it and every single time scares the shit out of me)

I'd go with the shining / the stand for the podium but as I said very hard to decide

loved 11/22/63 (and for a IT lover like myself it was great to see a bit of the story intertwined in the book)

Of course the latest books (liked the Bill Hodges trilogy a lot) are not comparable to the first ones , but he's still the best book writer around , maybe before by a country mile and now "only" by a kilometer

Yeah The Stand (uncut) and IT are neck and neck for me. Read both a few times actually.

His shirt story collections are great aswell.

Yeah Mr. Mercedes and so on were really good.

He has a newer book out I read...so so. Another on the way.

The 11/22/63 mini series was very good also.

    Max Hastings, Vietnam.

    Bloody brilliant book highly recommended.

There are very few complete history's of the Vietnam war. Loads of individual accounts etc.

Mr Hastings says in his book that it was inspired by The Vietnam War documentary by Ken Burns on PBS. Brilliant stuff.

You should watch all ken Burns documentary's he is a master history story teller of American history.
    I recently finished this book.

Absolutely epic account of the war in Vietnam.

I took the recommendation from here.

Really excellent account of the tragedy of how Native Indians were treated by the American Government/military.

Each chapter is a story in itself.
