Plenty of businesses closing or working reduced hours because of staff isolating etc

Fortunately my business has not had any staff member test positive but that could change any minute.

All we can do is try keep as safe as possible and adhere to the guidelines as best as possible.

There are valid reasons for closing things at midnight though it is not the easiest thing to explain and they would be better from a messaging perspective to either fully open or fully close.

Explaining the mathematics of it will go over most people's heads and likely be counter productive.

I hope the important numbers, being those of hospital admissions and not simply "cases" are what is used to make any additional decisions about restrictions, because the vast majority of cases now do not lead to serious illness.

There will be strong pushback against lockdowns at this stage, regardless of the number of cases being seen.

How are others affected in last weeks ?

I hope everyone comes out of their brush w it healthy and well xx
The last time I saw my consultant was in January 2020, my next and hopefully last surgery was postponed until the summer of 2020 but of course it was cancelled because of covid. Every appointment since then has also been cancelled. My next one is in February of next year but I'll be amazed if that goes ahead for obvious reasons.

Indeed at the moment I know numerous people who have been in contact with someone that has Covid and have to isolate
