Exclamation Pandemic has forced sex work further into hiding, says SWAI’s Kate McGrew

It’s no secret that the economy took a huge hit when the pandemic struck, but one sex worker believes the Government hasn’t given much thought to sex work over the last few months.

Kate McGrew, Sex Workers Alliance Ireland (SWAI) Coordinator, spoke to Extra.ie about the various efforts made to support sex workers during this uncertain time.

She also notes that though the Government has provided the Pandemic Unemployment Payment, it has been very difficult for sex workers to obtain it.
