    Was surprised Higgins got such a big lead over Stevens given his recent form, but he might be a dangerous opponent again if he retain the momentum from probably getting through.

    Elsewhere, Ding looked really shaky against Mark King and it's hard to see him progressing much further as unlike when Higgins plays badly, Ding struggles to come out on top in scrappy frames

    He ends session 8-1 up , would be nice to see him go a long way in tournament, he can be erratic at times

    Ronnie the Rocket definitely going on full thrust winning the first session of his match 8-1 and needs just 2 more frames when the match resumes tomorrow. John Higgins beat Matthew Stevens 10-5 to go through to the last 16.
