At HT Stoke lead Brentford 1-0. If this is the score at the end of the match then Leeds will be confirmed as Champions and West Brom will have automatic promotion back in their own hands. In the other lunchtime game today Wigan lead Charlton 2-1 at HT which at the moment means that Charlton are still just 2 points above the relegation zone..

Brentford lose 1-0 , disappointing for them , Leeds are champions, Stoke are safe

Stoke beat Brentford 1-0 which means that Leeds are Champions with 2 games to spare and West Brom will be promoted along with them if they win their last game next week. Stoke are now safe from relegation after this result which is a great achievement for Michael O Neill considering the position the club were in when he took over as manager. Charlton get an injury time equaliser in a 2-2 result against Wigan which could prove vital for the Londoners in avoiding falling into the relegation places. Wigan stay in mid table for now but with the 12 point deduction facing them they could still be relegated when the season ends.

At HT in the mid afternoon games in the battle to avoid relegation Hull are level 0-0 with Luton. In the other matches at HT Fulham lead Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 , Cardiff lead Middlesbrough 1-0, Preston lead Birmingham by the same score, QPR are 1-0 up on Millwall, Swansea lead Bristol City 1-0 and Blackburn lead Reading 2-1.

Just heard Thomas Franke interview in wake of Stoke defeat , I heard him speak before, he is a top manager, I still think they have a reasonable chance of automatic promotion, good win for Fulham. Who could still get automatic promotion

Luton get a vital 1-0 win against Hull which leaves the Tigers on the brink of relegation and means that Luton still have a chance of escaping it. Cardiff beat Boro 3-1 and now need just a point in their final game to confirm a playoff place. Swansea beat Bristol City 1-0 and still have a slight chance of a playoff place. In the other games there were goalfests as QPR beat Millwall 4-3, a result which means the Lions will be playing in the Championship again next season, Fulham beat Sheffield Wednesday 5-3 which leaves the Londoners still in with a slight chance of automatic promotion and Birmingham beat Reading 4-3. Preston beat Birmingham 2-0 but the win comes too late to maintain any playoff chances for them.

The Sheff Wed situation has not been confirmed either, leading to rumors they could assess the final table and deduct just enough points to keep Wednesday, although Wigan getting a 12 point deduction seems more likely. Also the Macclesfield/Stevenage relegation from League Two is yet to be decided. Whatever the case, the EFL must up it's business and financial game next season as it's been quite pathetic in these areas for the last few seasons

Really happy that Leeds are champions, I hope Bielsa gets funds to strengthen, I think West Brom deserves second automatic spot
