Looks like Forest's good run has come to an abrupt end. A lot closer at the top than the premiership!

Yeah, 4 points separate the top 5 ,although West Brom have a game in hand , and only 3 points between 2nd and 5th.

Any 1 could get the second spot for automatic promotion.

The playoffs will be very interesting too.

West Brom play their game in hand against Millwall today. If they win they will go 4 points clear at the top of the table. At this stage there are still 12 or 13 clubs in the shake up to be promoted either automatically or through the playoffs including former big guns such as Leeds, Forest, Blackburn and Preston. A lot of football to be played before the picture becomes clearer.

Forest get an injury time equaliser against West Brom and the match finishes 2-2. The Baggies are now 7 points clear of Leeds at the top of the Championship table while Forest move up to 4th place.

I grew up in 70s, supporting the great Leeds United team, I took a major backwards step after the Peter Ridsdale/David o leary era, and dispised them for the financial ruin, they brought on a great club, West Brom drawing today, has brought automatic promotion so much closer, I'm happy to see a return to top flight football, but I can't seem to get as excited as I should, I do think the PL needs a good Leeds team in it

Looking bad, now alright, should still be good for automatic promotion, but they don't make it easy for themselves

The match finishes 2-0 to Cardiff. West Brom top the table on goal difference but neither they nor Leeds are assured of automatic promotion or even a play off place as yet. All still to play for.

The worry for Leeds is that they have a tendency to implode at this time of season, they looked fit today, just not good enough, they will need significant investment to survive in PL

Brentford beat West Brom 1-0 tonight which moves them up to 3rd in the automatic promotion race. West Brom haven`t scored since the Championship restarted after the shutdown. Leeds will move to the top of the table with a win or draw against Fulham tomorrow.
